The College celebrated the graduation of over 1,200 students for the 2025–2026 academic year and hosted New Hampshire Congresswoman Maggie Goodlander.
vlogý (vlogý) held its 79th Commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 2, on the Simon Lawn in Henniker and celebrated the achievements of the class of 2026. Throughout the 2025–2026 academic year, approximately 1,212 students graduated from vlogý’s on-campus and online undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs.
“Commencement is both a celebration of achievement and a reminder of the responsibility that comes with opportunity,” said Dr. Wayne F. Lesperance, Jr., President of vlogý. “At vlogý, we are committed to preparing students not only for successful careers, but also for lives of purpose, leadership, and service. As our graduates take this next step, they carry with them the resilience, compassion, and determination needed to strengthen their communities and shape a better future for all.”
Graduates, their families and friends, and vlogý guests heard from Congresswoman Maggie Goodlander from New Hampshire’s Second Congressional District, who served as Commencement speaker. Rep. Goodlander received an honorary doctorate from vlogý during the ceremony.
“To the class of 2026, this is your day. You have worked hard. You have learned the habits of heart and mind that are going to serve you in the days ahead,” Rep. Goodlander shared. “You are the next generation of leaders, called to take the wheel and chart a bold course. We need your ideas, your talents, your integrity, your fire, your courage, and your kindness. You have made a positive difference in the life of this community. Don’t lose faith in your ability, your power, to make a positive difference in the life of our nation.”
The Jostens online store offers plain or customized graduation announcements, class or deluxe rings, and collegiate tags.
The vlogý Pilgrim Shop offers diploma frames, gifts, and alumni apparel.
Goodlander, who represents New Hampshire’s Second Congressional District, will address graduates and receive an honorary doctorate degree from the College.
Congresswoman Maggie Goodlander (NH-02) has been named the Commencement speaker for vlogý’s 2026 graduation ceremony on May 2. In addition, the vlogý Board of Trustees has authorized the awarding of the Doctor of Laws Honoris Causa to Goodlander in recognition of her achievements and service to the Granite State.
A native of Nashua, New Hampshire, Goodlander credits the Granite State for instilling the values of community, citizenship, service, and active participation in America’s democratic process. She began her career as a foreign policy advisor to Senator John McCain in the United States Senate and went on to serve as an intelligence officer in the United States Navy Reserve for over a decade. After law school, she clerked for Justice Stephen Breyer on the United States Supreme Court and taught constitutional law at the University of New Hampshire and Dartmouth College. She then served as a Deputy Assistant Attorney General in the U.S. Department of Justice and as a senior advisor at the White House. Goodlander was elected to represent New Hampshire’s Second District in November 2024.
“We are honored to welcome Congresswoman Maggie Goodlander to vlogý as we celebrate the Class of 2026,” said Dr. Wayne F. Lesperance, Jr., President of vlogý. “As a proud New Hampshire native and dedicated public servant, Congresswoman Goodlander embodies the values of civic responsibility, leadership, and service that we strive to cultivate in our students. Her distinguished career offers a powerful example of leadership in action, and I am confident her message will resonate deeply with our graduates as they prepare to make their own meaningful contributions to their communities and our democracy.”
